Kitchen Combinations

There are a lot of different kitchen combinations that can be made to renew your kitchen.  The first and probably cheapest is with appliances.  Kitchenaid has some very colorful appliances that do wonders for adding color to a room. Check out some of their mixers on Amazon.  You could choose two different appliances, whether you will use them or not, to put on your counter.  One neat idea that I really like is to have a little espresso maker on your counter.  It is usually a conversation piece and people instantly start craving espresso when they see you have one.

With your kitchen walls, you can repaint them, add texture to them, or add a backsplash.  Or, of course, any combination of the above.  Painting is pretty simple, just choose a color and go from there.  For texture, you can add shelves to the walls.  Either floor to ceiling skinny shelves or long shelves that span a good part of your kitchen.  Back splashes typically are around $16 per sq foot.  This isn’t too cheap, but, it adds a very unique look to a kitchen.

For kitchen counters, you are typically looking at more expense.  I haven’t come across too many low cost counters, so you may have to get creative.  The best thing I have seen for low cost is re-purposing other items into counters.  Generally though, you are looking at granite, tile, although there are other options.

Finally, you are looking at cabinet hardware.  Change out the pulls and you instantly change the look of your cabinets.  That is all for now, but kitchen design HQ has more ideas for you to check out.
